Fifth Annual Victorian High Country Rally

When: 30th November – 4th December 2017
Where: Fry’s Flat Howqua Hills beside Fry's Hut and the Howqua River at the foot of Mt. Buller in the Victorian High Country.

The Victorian Rally is at the end of the month hosted by the ever-capable John and Annie Robinson. This year is shaping up to be another fantastic Rally with many new faces showing up in their new trailers.

Pretty amazing response - now 71 attending and I must thank everyone for their support with people coming from all states and territories except NT. They include 36 - Vic, 15 - NSW, 8 - QLD, 5 - SA, 3 - ACT, 2 Tas and an Aurora and Quantum all the way from Western Australia. Half will be first time attendees with many of them being new owners. Quantum’s will head the List with 42 coming, 18 x Matrix, 6 x Aurora, 3 x Eclipse and 2 x Odyssey’s.

Activities Include:

  1. Redarc Team - With so many newer vans coming it will be great to have the Redarc team there to offer support, advice to give owners a better understanding of their electrical systems.
  2. Buy, Swap, Sell table – this will work much like a garage sale so hopefully everyone can either sell or buy a bargain.
  3. Photo Competition - I am sure will be a big hit again as we have seen from the two previous rallies. The effort people go to in displaying their photos and the quality of the photos is fantastic.
  4. And we must not forget the ever popular Pirates Feast.

South Australian Rally

When: 4th -16th August 2018
Where: : Flinders Ranges, South Australia

This will be a progressive rally allowing attendees to join and depart at any point along the way. We are taking you to some of our favourite places in the Flinders Ranges. There will be plenty of bush camping, dirt roads and time to explore.

The rally can form an ideal jumping off point for those wanting to travel further and/or a perfect opportunity to carry out a shakedown trip before any extended touring. For example, from Farina we are planning on travelling up the Oodnadatta Track to Alice Springs via Chambers Pillar then across the Great Central Road to Laverton then wandering around the Pilbara for a while and chasing the wildflowers as we missed them last year.

Of course it will also be a great opportunity to meet like-minded owners, share stories and peek in everyone else’s camper to get ideas on enhancing your fit-out.

For more information on any of the AOR Rally’s please log onto the AOR members forum and follow the thread for each Rally.
